Abstract

A Nineteen Year Old School Boy was admitted to the Choon-Hae Hosoital on October 12. 1965 Because of Palpable right upper quadrant mass. He noticed slowly growing ball like mass at right upper quadrant begining about 10. months prior to admission. Once he experienced dull pain for a few minutes over the mass area without nausea and vomiting. This mass was slightly movable up and down without tenderness. On laparatomy the resected mass revealed unilocular cystic mass. Mearsuring 10.5 ㎝×8.7 ㎝×7.2 ㎝ and weighing 12 gm. The surface was smooth and greish white in color. On cutting the cyst was unilocular which containing dark brown fluid. Microscopically the submitted tissue was fibrous tissue composed of muscle layer and congested blood vessels showing histological feature of mesenteric cyst.
A case of mesenteric cyst was reported and reviewed literature.
